Our story

From a single contract to Kyiv's trusted cleaning partner

Pure Spaces Kyiv was founded in 2014 by Vasyl Kovalenko, a former facilities director who had spent years watching cleaning contractors underdeliver and overpromise. He hired three experienced cleaners, wrote a proper service specification and won his first office contract in Podil. The quality was noticed — and word spread.

By 2018 we had grown to a team of 20 serving offices, medical centres and retail chains across central Kyiv. We invested in a digital audit system, ride-on floor machines for industrial clients and a training programme that remains our competitive edge today. Through a challenging period for the country we kept every scheduled visit, adapted working patterns to support our clients' continuity, and retained over 90% of our contract base.

In 2026 Pure Spaces Kyiv employs 54 certified cleaning professionals, serves more than 70 active contracts and covers every major district of Kyiv. We are still privately owned, still quality-obsessed and still led by the same standard: a clean that is documented, repeatable and worth paying for.

Founder & CEO

Former facilities director with 18 years of experience. Holds an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certificate. Sets quality policy and oversees all enterprise accounts personally.

Oksana Savchenko

Head of Operations

Manages day-to-day scheduling, staff deployment and equipment for all 70+ active contracts. Specialist in medical and cleanroom hygiene protocols.

Dmytro Petrenko

Senior Quality Supervisor

Conducts unannounced spot audits across the Kyiv portfolio. Responsible for staff training programme design and product compliance testing.

Iryna Honchar

Client Account Manager

First point of contact for all ongoing client relationships. Manages service adjustments, monthly reporting and new contract on-boarding from enquiry to first visit.

Andriy Melnyk

Equipment & Logistics Lead

Maintains the fleet of ride-on scrubber-dryers and specialist machines, and manages eco-product procurement. Advises industrial clients on the right equipment for large floor areas.

Nataliya Bondarenko

Training & Compliance Officer

Runs the structured induction and refresher programme for every cleaner, and keeps hygiene certificates, COSHH records and ISO documentation audit-ready year round.

2014

Founded in Podil

Vasyl Kovalenko registers Pure Spaces Kyiv LLC with 3 staff and secures the company's first office cleaning contract — a 400 m² co-working space in Podil. The very first digital cleaning checklist is introduced in week two.

2015

First retail & medical contracts

The team grows to 9. Pure Spaces Kyiv signs its first retail chain agreement (4 shops in Shevchenkivskyi district) and its first medical facility contract with a private dental clinic in Pechersk. Medical cleaning protocols are formalised.

2016

Building & Cleaning Association membership

Pure Spaces Kyiv joins the Ukrainian Building & Cleaning Association, gaining access to industry benchmarks, procurement networks and professional development resources. Liability insurance coverage raised to ₴5 000 000.

2018

Digital audit system & industrial expansion

Team reaches 20. A proprietary digital audit platform is deployed — every visit is logged with GPS timestamp and photo evidence. Two ride-on scrubber-dryers are purchased, enabling the company to serve its first large warehouse contracts in Brovary.

2020

ISO 9001:2015 certification

Pure Spaces Kyiv achieves ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification after an independent third-party audit. All internal procedures, staff training records and client complaint processes are documented and formally approved.

2022

Continuity through adversity

Despite a profoundly difficult year for Kyiv, Pure Spaces Kyiv maintains all scheduled contracts. Flexible shift patterns are introduced to accommodate clients' own continuity needs. Staff welfare programme launched. 90%+ contract retention achieved.

2024

50-staff milestone & enterprise contracts

The team surpasses 50 certified staff for the first time. Pure Spaces Kyiv signs its two largest contracts to date — a 12 000 m² logistics complex in Brovary and a 6-floor office tower in Holosiivskyi district. Monthly visit volume exceeds 1 400.

2026

Today: 54 staff, 70+ active contracts

Pure Spaces Kyiv now employs 54 certified professionals, holds 70+ active contracts across all major Kyiv districts and maintains a 98% quality audit pass rate. We are actively expanding our medical and industrial divisions and remain privately owned.

Every member of the Pure Spaces Kyiv team completes a structured induction covering hygiene procedures, equipment handling and client communication before their first solo assignment. We hold regular refresher training, and our supervisors make unannounced quality visits to ensure the standard never slips.
